Are you looking for a bonfire night poem for kids about fireworks and Guy Fawkes, then no look no further than Brian Moses' most recent, blog anthology: November 5th - Fireworks and Bonfires.
I am always over the moon to have a poem included in one of Brian's collections. My bonfire night poem for kids poem is inspired by the Chinese naming firework effects after flowers.
Fire Flowers
On canvases of Autumn nights
Fire flowers paint the skies
Stellar stems all scar the dark
Chrysanthemum explosions spark
Peony orbs on tendrils whizz
Willows hang and weep with fizz
Palm trees fan their sizzling leaves
Pistils pulse and glitter-weave
On canvases of Autumn nights
Fire flowers paint the skies
In irises of eyes alight
far below our dreams ignite
